Newz Group Announces New CEO, Chief Content Officer

Celebrating 25 years of business, Newz Group makes staffing changes to continue growth trajectory.

Newz Group, the premier newspaper monitoring and archiving firm in the Midwest, is pleased to announce several staffing changes that will assist in the future advancement of the company with a growth emphasis in the coming year.
Ian Buchanan will succeed Brad Buchanan as President and CEO as of August 1st, 2021. Ian has been with Newz Group since 2008 and has been serving as Vice President since 2013. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri and a BS in Computer Science from Oregon State University.

As part of Newzgroup’s continuing evolution into a major player in the media monitoring marketplace, it is time to turn the operational, day-to-day reins over to the younger generation. It has been the privilege and joy of a lifetime to work this closely every day with my nuclear family, and I am supremely confident that Ian and Ben can, in a superlative fashion, lead Newz Group into the future.

Ben Buchanan was named Vice President of Finance. Ben has been with Newz Group since 2008 and was previously the Director of Resources. Ben attended Columbia College and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business.

Celebrating its 25th year, Newz Group provides state press associations with publisher support and archiving services alongside the most comprehensive newspaper monitoring in the greater Midwest.
